Dear Friends,
Gathering together weekly to worship, to receive the Blessed Sacrament, and to hear the living Word of God is vital to our spiritual health. By doing so, we also obey the Commandment to keep holy the Sabbath.
Gathering together socially as a family of faith is also vital to our spiritual health. We are blessed to have such an occasion eight days from now on Saturday, June 15. On that Saturday from 11am to 2pm, we’ll enjoy the Men’s Club Annual Chicken Barbecue.
Please make every effort to join us for this wonderful parish event. You will be glad that you did. We can be creatures of habit, and perhaps we don’t cross paths often with parishioners who worship at the “other Mass” offered on weekends here at Immaculate Conception. This is a great occasion for our 4:30pm Mass attendees to visit with our 9am Mass attendees.
The menu is extraordinary for only a $12 ticket! This is what you will enjoy: One-half of a chicken, baked potato, antipasto salad, bread & butter, a beverage, watermelon, and other desserts. Kids also have the option of enjoying some hot dogs. Thanks to a tent and our hall, this is a rain or shine event.
You are welcome to purchase tickets after the Masses this weekend, during the week after the 12:15pm Masses, or at the event itself on June 15.
I look forward to seeing you next Saturday. Bring your appetites!
