Dear Friends,
Officially or unofficially, the days of summer are fading into the past as we move into the season of football and apple pies! Each season brings its own comforts and traditions that are unique to our wonderful New England! The changing of the leaves on the trees into their bejeweled beauty is a treasure of the creative power of God. (Perhaps that should be a meditation as you rake the leaves!)
In the life of the parish, we will continue to focus on the Stewardship gifts of Time, Talent and Treasure. If we make time to use our talents, then the treasure will follow. For example, we are blessed to have Stephen Zadroga volunteer to mow the lawns each week. He’s been doing this for years! The fall is the time when trimming shrubbery is a big chore. As you can see, our property needs quite a bit of attention. Perhaps we can plan a day when parishioners will come and take care of the place we love so well?
At the Parish Town Meeting on September 19 at 7:00 PM in the Hall, we’ll need volunteers for a variety of ministries and projects. Please come ready to celebrate Immaculate Conception Parish!
