Immaculate Conception Parish follows the guidelines of the National Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People approved by the U.S. Catholic Bishops and the policies of the Diocese of Worcester in screening those who work with children in our care and in helping victims of abuse find healing.
If you or someone you know has been sexually abused by a Church employee or volunteer in the past, please contact the Victim Services Coordinator for our diocese at (508) 929-4363 (direct line and confidential voicemail). If you are concerned about a current case of abuse, please contact the local civil authorities immediately.
The Diocese of Worcester created a safe environment program for all individuals in the diocese to help promote awareness of sexual abuse, help to prevent abuse, and to encourage survivors of abuse to seek the healing they deserve. All persons 14 years of age and older, employed at or engaged in ministry at Immaculate Conception Parish, are required to complete Safe Environment Training to help create and maintain a safe environment.
Each staff member and volunteer must complete a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) Request Form, which is then submitted to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts through the Diocese of Worcester for processing.
Each staff member and volunteer must read and sign a Code of Ministerial Conduct Form, which is offered as part of the safe environment training.
To complete Safe Environment Training for ministry at Immaculate Conception Parish, please contact the parish's Safe Environment Coordinator (see below).
